HOW is that to get a girl was more simple then to get a boy?

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >>Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

Actors, specially kids are hard to get motherf*ckers.

When I started Sinking In The Fire, or specially Wrong Hate training part of it, I was just blindly writing script. Creating problems for myself to then get somehow through and learn on it.

Except of technical problems, I really couldn't allow myself to make a cartoon. I wanted to make only movies with real actors. And when you see a little child in the script it's become a little complicated part.

You may find a parent that interested to give a child to the audition. Then you may check that the child is good at acting at least the stuff needed for the movie. And hardest part.

To make the parent sing on the contract.

For Wrong Hate movie I've got through first and the second part, but the third I couldn't make done.

The child I've got was pretty awesome. Acting all time, even when it's not needed. Live in movies. Just like me.

But his mom was like me to talk about the project, dream about to see him in the movie, but wasn't ready to actually sing the contract.

So I though I gonna give up on this child. And start learning the Producing and Managing better.

Neurological project

I though first that I gonna learn psychology and neurology to manipulate his mom to sing the contract. It didn't work, but I found a problem why.

Obviously she has an Bipolar Affective Disorder which means she has periodically good and bad mood and not be able to get hard choices. The main problem was here that the project was too big for her mind to sing on the contract.

Anyway while learning it I had few interesting conclusions that If our politics may know them, our life could get much better.

I made a video about it:

SITF and Call Night Moon

SITF is "sinking in the fire".

I've got to run away a bit from the Wrong Hate. To experience something I can handle. And this was a music album I gonna release soon.

I recorded it in a week. One song from there even was about the hope of getting the child to the Wrong Hate.

Anyway another song called "Call Night Moon" was about the SITF. About the plot of the SITF. So I though it's gonna be good to keep my self a little in Blender and Filming by doing this project. By filming the Music Video for this song.

I though about the main scene that gonna happen in SITF. The meeting of the girl with the Boy that is Alien. And how he is transforming to Alien look.

So I quickly wrote a script and made a pre-visualization storyboard, so I could think forward.

Next part was an actress as a girl.

Oh my god. I didn't want to get through this nightmare again.
This time I found a different parent that had no Mental Disorders and didn't know a lot about marketing and film-making. So I was happy to try getting a talk with him.

Until this time I knew that the presentation is everything. So I made a presentation or him, how much important is to get his daughter on my music video.

Suddenly he just sing the contract. I was even shocked.

Anyway now I needed that camera that could shot in the night in good enough quality. I was not ready to shot on Samsung Galaxy.

I met a man. His name is Shahar Golan who was ready to work on the project. He is a professional photographer. So I payed him a little money to get him with all the stuff I need to the filming.

VFX Of Call Night Moon

I thought, why not to make a tutorials about everything I do for the project.

So I started to make the series of tutorials.

This is the last episode. Next gonna come later.
The reason you can see here. I gonna get some more complicated stuff to do, so I will need more time to prepare the tutorials.

Blender DID NOT CRASH when I decided to add people to the scene

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >>Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

Who remember this scene? Who remember the amount of renders I posted on this blog? But I never almost was talking how hard is that scene for my Lap-Top. Yes I'm using Lap-Top without even a Graphics card. Other, better computers are not at my budged currently. Anyway this frame was rendering 1:29 hours about. The noise is mostly still there. You will say that for render is quite fast, but I'm having just this machine and I'm planing to render 32 minutes in 24 frames fer second. It's gonna take years.

I think the best solution for me is to use my new producing skills to find bigger budged, but then the idea is getting ruined. I want to show that is possible to make something epic without budged. Anyway now is the time to chose the way to go. Maybe I just gonna ask somebody for free computers to render the stuff. If you have any suggestion, please leave the comment below.

The story of this particular render is a little weirder. Ones i had in the scene a huge background object. It had all the grass for a kilometer around the scene, little river and some other stuff. But after adding a lot of details to the scene blender could not render it. He was crashing every time I was pressing F12. I found the way to make the rendering possible. I played around with settings, I've made from the background an HDRI and deleted him from the scene.
The scene was rendering but not much stuff I could add anymore.

Suddenly I tried to add the low poly people into the scene. And It did not crash.

Where Wrong Hate Is Gone?

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >> Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

The Reason Of No Activity (why wasn't so long)

No, the project isn't closed or stopped. I was just doing a bunch of boring stuff that non of blender artist may care of, like finding an actor for the child role. Then I was reading books about Producing movies and managing the people that they couldn't go until the project is done. And of course because of the luck of knowledge and experience I had many problems with it.
I made adds in the town to find an actor, little boy from 7 to 9 years old and hopefully one single mom actually called me. I was ridiculously happy about it. A first week we was planning about the parts of the contract and suddenly I discovered that the boy was Epileptic. Other few months I was almost fighting to get this boy for the production when his was finding all the reasons do not to get him.     As a stupid, obsessive person I started to read books about psychology and neurology to get the boy to the project, but during this learning I discovered that my script for the movie wasn't so psychologically right. Oh my god, I needed to fix some stuff in the script and storyboard. The child is still not on the project and the project became a development hell.

Learning Marketing (what did I've learned all this time)

When I learned so much about neurology I had an idea to make another video "Love Is Bullshit Word" that explains my new views at the culture and society. And how it's must be changed.

You can watch it here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnUGQ4KNVGk

But the video wasn't successful so I started to search a new information about Marketing and Promotion, so the projects I do, will bring audience. I discovered few rules (working elements in most cases) that brings those audience.

    1. Make the good presentation. (even your project is a bullshit, presentation is everything)
    2. Make the audience understand that they are need it.
    3. Make them feel that it's possible. (if you make art or tutorial, explain that it's easy even if it's not)
    4. Use sympathy effect. (use children or other cute stuff for to make people feel the art in the heart)

The Main Plan (how did wrong hate started)

When I was 14 years old I drew a picture of two ding kids. Boy and Girl with a wall between them. Boy was in the water and the girl in the fire. I called it Sinking In The Fire.
Little while after I came out with an idea of making a movie of this. Very fast I sketched the plot about how does she meeting him, who is he. And pretty much in the same time I wrote a song for the movie that shortly explain the plot. "Call Night Moon"
I though of idea to put some not natural stuff like aliens and UFOs to have something to work in blender. I realized that one of the kids can be an alien that transforming into human look when he want.

There was so many things I wanted to do in this movie. To make it a masterpiece like ET or Close Encounters Of Third Kind. So I even naively though to get Steven Spielberg him self to direct the movie. But shortly enough I realized that it was mostly impossible. I need to produce and direct this movie my self. I started to make the project when I've got 15 and Tears Of Steel was close to it relies. I heard about all those new features of Blender. Camera Tracking, Cycles render. I was exited to try this.
One day I realized that I suck. I'm not good at directing, photography. And I'm the worst producer ever. So I decided to learn it out. That year I didn't had a personal computer to work on him. Like didn't even had a smallest production value. So I was sitting at YouTube all day and all night, watching making ofs, tutorials of movie directing, blender tutorials. Was learning composition, light, color theories. And other technical stuff.
In the 16's birth day mom bought me a new Lap Top, so I started the production. But first thing I was needed to check all the new information on smaller projects.

I decided to break apart the production in 2 peaces. 1 test movies 2 the Sinking In The Fire it self.

First movie in this series was supposed to be a minute green screen + animation test called "Wrong Hate". But I've got a little too much and wrote 32 minutes of stuff. It became a serious business. While the production I was learning Music in parallel in order to create soundtrack to the movie. And I recorded the song called "Call Night Moon" from the Sinking In The Fire movie.

Currently I'm working on finding another kid for the project and fixing the stuff I've done wrong. Also making a music video for the song in order to promote the movie. (Used to find a little girl which for some reason was much easier) And typing this blog stuff to calm you down, because movie is gonna get done. When exactly I don't know of, but it will get done.

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >> Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

Here I've done 2 characters for the project using Actors references.
The deal was not about to create all the rest of the background low-poly characters.
I made this 3 default guys, when changing them the textures I can make different people.
There are original focused look witch are awful and by the side far, defocus versions of the same ones that look already Okay.

Changing textures and poses I hopes to create a lot of different people that gonna look like a mass of guys on the background.

And here is the test render:

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >> Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

Here I back... I was working at casting children for the movie, so it was nothing interesting to upload. Now we are preparing to shotting... So I have some time to continue work at CG stuff of the project.

The main actor was casted a while ago and even one part been shotted with him (it probably not perfect, so I gonna re-shot it). But there are scenes like falling from the building or stuff when the perspective could not be gotten on green screen because of small sizes of the room and creepy zoom of the camera. So I decided that all the main characters will have low res CGI version to solve all those problems.

Here is the screen shot of the model.
Yeah.. the quality isn't something, but this model made for to be small or fast on the screen. So the details are not necessary.

Also it was very great fun to make this texture... OMG it's so funny.

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >> Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

The STORYBOARDS are done... Every one who make a film make a Script and storyboards. In Regular filming storyboard aren't very much needed, there are a lot of actors work cameras shotting their actions from multiple directions and then in Editing they make it look nice.

In more complicated projects. Movies about cars, fights or a Michael Bay movies. They need storyboarding much often. There are much of a complicated to shotting scenes. They need to be sure that effect will be nice before even starting to film. The filming of the sequences are to expensive to maybe re-shot them ones. And also storyboards are helpful for the crew. To make people understand what is the vision of the director. What is the aim of the shot.

In super complicated movies. I like to make those mostly :D . So there storyboarding needed everywhere. Every scene, every sequence need to be storyboarded to make sure that the needed emotion will be given. Then when the plan is done, you can start shotting.

Now imagine the complicated movie of Michael Bay. I mean when everything supposed to be storyboarded and it has a lot of complicated shots. In that time we need already storyboards node in motion. Motion of the camera, of the objects... Basic effects supposed to be done in this one.

First time in movies (I'm not really sure) when such storyboarding system was done it was Aliens 1986 by James Cameron. He didn't done any CGI stuff then. He filmed basic shapes of miniatures. They were made of paper. You could see people on background that moving those.

Next step ( by my research, not sure ) done Steven Spielberg in 2005 for War Of The Worlds.
He with CGI artists were done a full size CGI movie on the most basic level, to know what will they shot later.

Then something similar I saw at Tears Of Steel. Made by Ian Hubbert in Blender.

For wrong hate movie is very important to make a emotions right. (it's probably the reason why am I filming) Except of the reason to learn making good CGI and VFX.

So I started with simple 2D drawings of the Storyboard.

This one was drawn something like a year ago.

I knew that this will be a train station but I wasn't know how does the train station is gonna look. I needed the design of it.
So I've done the design :D

Then I made a OpenGL basic animation part. I gonna show you just that part because I don't want you to lose the Interest for the final product.

Sounds were done in Audacity and adjusted in Blender sequence.

' back

Script >>  Storyboard >> Concept Art >> VFX test >> Casting >> Making Props >> Filming >> VFX >>  Sound >> Making trailer

Here I'm back. No time to write :D I need to finish till 25/01/2015 all 45 minutes of the storyboard but I've done just 25 minutes. I have no time! Anyway I found that I work faster if I make some breaks.
Ones in an hour I make 15 minutes of break to listen music and do some other stuff. (for example writing this blog)

Here are some updates, guys.

First I've got very good result (done fast) in GLSL open GL rendering (for storyboards). If using HRDI as a background and rendering Open GL just dark, silhouette stuff it look almost ready for final cut.
Here is an example.

All the dark stuff is OpenGL but the background is HDRI rendered in Cycles.

I found that food can cause you work better or worse.

Sugar and milk helps to work as crazy... (just a tip) Sugar has glucose that without brain stop working... you feel less inspiration and laziness without it. Milk is make you a bit drunk. Not too much but enough to give sure ideas ...
